PI and SI Query Management

info

Prior to Server 6.0, primary index (PI) queries were called scans and secondary index (SI) queries were called queries.

deprecated

Managing jobs is deprecated as of aql 7.0. Use asadm instead.

List Running Jobs

Tracking of secondary index (SI) queries automatically starts if the SI query takes more than the configured query-untracked-time-ms. Note that with SI queries, the server cannot estimate the size of the result and therefore, the completion percentage is not tracked.

List running SI queries:

SHOW QUERIES

List running primary index (PI) queries (formerly known as scans):

SHOW SCANS

This displays a list of PI query or SI query jobs, with their identifiers and statistics. You can use the identifiers to kill a specific job.

Kill Running Jobs

deprecated

Managing jobs is deprecated as of aql 7.0. Use asadm instead.

The following is the command to kill a running query:

KILL_QUERY <id>

Kill a running PI query:

KILL_SCAN <id>

The [id] parameter is the query identifier as in SHOW QUERIES or SHOW SCANS.
