Aerospike’s Node.js client allows you to build applications in Node.js that store and retrieve data from an Aerospike cluster. The Aerospike client is a smart client which periodically pings nodes for the current state of the cluster and manages interactions with the Aerospike cluster. Please see for more detail.
The current client is distributed in source code form, available at https://github.com/aerospike/aerospike-client-nodejs.
In this documentation, we're going to assume that you're familiar with Node.js and its extended environment.
Please note that the Aerospike Node.js Client depends on the Aerospike C client, which is currently available on the following platforms:
- CentOS 6/RHEL 6.x
- Debian 6+
- Ubuntu 12.04
- Mac OS X
This node.js client works with Node.js version 0.10.x . The standard package distributions for the above distributions either do not include node, or use lower versions of node than 0.10 . Please validate your node installation and version with 'node -v', and if the version predates v 0.10 , please download from http://nodejs.org/download/ and follow the installation instructions. This package does not support node v 0.12 .
